My First ISS QSO

by dr last modified 2004-01-16 02:59 PM

On December 22, 2003 I made my first QSO via the ISS with Ralph Michalski KB9UPS. The astronauts on the ISS were operating the new Kenwood system. They were not operating in the normal split mode but simplex on 145.800. Here is the pass:

UPDATE: I received a QSL from KB9UPS. My first confirmed sat QSO! Since then I have made a number of QSOs via the ISS. Get on it is a lot of fun.
